Environment/Level artist on Days Gone
From block mesh to final polish I was tasked with creating Hot Springs encampment within the Belknap region. This camp was based on real-life resorts in Central Oregon. It evolved over time and after a few years of development we hired narrative and concept art to support the space. The team was very small at first from about 35 when I joined and about 150 or so when we shipped. Most props and buildings were made by our very talented art team, and just about all the foliage was made by one guy. The extensive process of layout, population, terrain sculpt/painting saw many iterations through my collaboration with other studio departments over the years.
